So, tonight I have had a crazy night I guess... and right now, all I can smell is burnt plastic.. Why might that be you ask?

Because I was still awake at 11:30pm and opened my bedroom door to see fire! Our dryer outside have caught on fire! As soon as I saw it, I yelled "FUCKING FIRE" and my dad yelled back "WHERE??" And he ran out naked *facepalm*

We ran outside to the dryer and got a towel, wrapped it around it and threw that muthaf**ka on the ground and spray it with water (obviously after unplugging it)

Here a picture of the aftermath, I didn't get any pictures of it burning.. Cause that's just farking retarded to take a photo instead of reacting lol..

Damn, lucky nobody got hurt. Or something else caught fire.
You're absolutely right about not taking pictures of the fire, like some morons do, but got that out.

I didn't even think about the computer... It was outside and the only thing on fire.

Having the dryer outside is a really good idea actually....... no more pipes and no chance of fire spreading to my computer.

But seriously, I hope your only shaken by that...

Lol cheeky monkey ;D

Was the dryer switched on? Possible fires from dryers is the filter not being cleaned out. Just glad no one was hurt. Lol nother thing I noticed, you said your dad ran out naked lol. Gee I hope you didn't mean completely naked. At least had undies on. But it's Aussie and winter to them I hear is nice weather to us.

Thanks for sharing Sam. :)

It's possible the dryer belt was rubbing against something or it broke. I have no idea.. Lol

Have a look at the wreckage, if the plug socket is burnt then it was probably the contact points, contact points produce thousands of sparks, so its either static from the rubber belt rubbing against dust that hasbuilt up over many years, or the moter, and it just got a wee bit of oil or flammablr dust in it.

My dads been a firefighter since he was 18, he knows what caused it. We dumped the dryer the day it happened.
