I recommend a simple, cheap laptop combined with an averaged priced gaming desktop.
Because:
* You won't be handicapped if you drop, lose your laptop.
* You'll get a better gaming rig for your money.
* You'll be able to easily customize and upgrade.
* You won't need to connect/disconnect your laptop from gaming accessories erryday.
* People won't look down on you for using a laptop for gaming.
Etc.

for gaming do what ishrki said, because
1. laptop over heat, well not over heat but feels like its about to melt your desk, lap, anything under them
2. desktops are cheaper, with more power
3. laptops are just so much more expensive
go here and look at his gaming desktop builds, great fps but no more then $1000, some as cheap as 250-500 that can play every game out there http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXGgrKt94gR6lmN4aN3mYTg

What shrk said BUUUT I have an actual idea for what laptop to get. Buy a chrome book. They're soooo cheap for hardware (250) and load ubuntu onto it. That's what I would do.

Can I add one to your blacklist? - Dell Insperon.

I bought one, and was recommended it by Dell, for gaming, and it has done nothing but annoy me. I've had it for 2 years, and its had 3 repairs, and is now in need of a new battery! It is gonna end up cheaper buying a new one!

I would say anything from apple, 100 fps, easy to downloaded and mod on minecraft, it's easy
