Well my birthday is coming up, and my parents asked me what I want. Lol. So while I was looking I found this. It makes your computer able to use multiple monitors, therefore making one large screen. Okay, so what I was wondering:

1. Is this a good one, or is there a better one?
2. I have an old computer that is really slow, if I used it as an extra desktop would it effect the performance of my overall desktop?

Here it is :

What you've linked to is simply a USB video device. You plug it into your computer via the USB cable, then you can connect an extra monitor to the device via the provided VGA output. You don't need another computer.

For $100, I don't think I would bother. Check your current computer, see if it has multiple video outputs. If it does, just get another display which can plug into one of the extra outputs and don't bother with a trashy (but still expensive) USB device. :p

Do you know a good adaptor that could connect the two monitors?

The problem with usb video adapters is the throughput usually. This means they aren't really that great for video games. Your FPS will suffer.

I used to work at a tech store a while back and we had 3 monitors connected to a pc. 2 through the video card and 1 through a usb adapter, with the usb adapted monitor being the center display.
When we dragged a window across all 3 screens it sometimes wouldn't even appear on the center screen.

These are usually used for connecting an additional display for presentations or if you need a bit more workspace. They really aren't that great for gaming.

Yeah, this is pretty much for skin making and texture making, because im usually looking at the forums while skinning, or looking at a reference picture while skinning/texturing.
