Gettin' it Down with LWC

your local bag of chips (so much air in here!)
Just mined a stack and a half of diamonds? Don't want them to get stolen? Well, here's the plugin you should look into!

LWC is a protection plugin that can lock just about any block you can think of. It's pretty simple after a while, but it might need some getting used to before you know all the commands by heart.

Let's say you want to put those diamonds in a locked chest. Seems simple enough.

When you place down a chest in the world, it'll say something along the lines of "Private Chest placed successfully." This is because when you place an item like a chest, it automatically locks it for you. How considerate!

There are a few other items that do this as well. They are as follows:
  • Chests (includes Double-Chests)
  • Doors
  • Signs
  • Trapdoors
  • Furnaces
It is possible to lock any block, but these are just the ones that LWC locks for you by default.

If you want to lock something manually, just say /lock (or /cprivate). Pretty complicated stuff.

Now you want to let your friend (and only your friend) take a peek at all those diamonds. The command you use is /cmodify [playername]. This makes it so that only you and that other person can see inside the chest. If you want to remove a person from the protection, say /cmodify -[playername]. There's a subtraction sign (hyphen) in front of [playername], if you can't see it.

If you're in the process of initially locking something (putting on a protection for the first time on that item), you can say /cprivate [player1] [player2] [etc...] to add those people to your chest.

To get info on a protection, type /cinfo. This is good if you want to see who's allowed into your protection, or when you created the protection.

Turns out your friend was a thievin' k'nievin' wretch who stole all your precious diamonds from you after you allowed them into your chest. Skol!

Remember, people modified into the chest can do whatever they want with the contents of it, so only let in people that you trust! It's not our fault if someone you allowed into your chest stole your stuff.

Now you're paranoid, so you want to protect the rest of your stuff with an extra layer of protection... How about a password? Just say /cpassword [password] to add the password to the chest. Remember, "1234" is a sucky password XD.

Well, now that your diamonds are gone, you have to start a community farm in your town so you can build up your fortune again. Sigh.

Hey, every good public farm needs a public chest!
Public protections are set up so that everyone can access the protected item, but no one can modify the protection except you. Pretty useful for town chests and whatnot. Just say /cpublic to make a lock public.
(The same thing as above applies here; it's your fault if you let anyone in and they take your stuff.)

Sorry friend, the farm didn't go so well... Now that you're all depressed from your string of bad luck, you don't even care what happens to your chest anymore. Say /cremove to completely get rid of any protection on a block.

Hey... What's this inside your chest? It's a written book, titled "Wanna come over tonight?" Look who wrote it, too... It's your crush!

I'd wanna protect that book if I were you ;).

Sorry about the ending... Had to make this less depressing for alls yalls X3.
