Even if we get SG working, I don't want to rely on it as a way to get more activity on the server. That plugin is pretty broken and development on it is slow....

Let's talk about how we can spike up activity on our servers where we can also enhance our core features:

Core:

  • Survival
  • Building
  • Towns
  • Economy
Those are our core mechanics on our server.

The question is, apart from what we already do.. can we enhance it so it's more fun for the players? That makes em not want to leave? We want a server that's addicting and keeps the players busy.

Any ideas? Let's hear em.

There isn't much you can do to the economy that won't hurt it in some way or another. I'd venture more towards promoting towns a bit more.

Oh, don't forget we have Zaxland. Zaxland has remained untouched, for the most part. All kinds of simple minigames are supposed to go there, like slots and stuff.

Saying that, remember SignShop has a slot machine sign. We could make an entire "game corner" of sorts at ZaxLand that has multiple slot machines with different payouts, and other casino-like minigames and whatnot. :p This would pertain to the economy, but it wouldn't hurt it so long as the slot machines, etc. aren't ridiculously decked out with rewards. The odds have to be, for the most part, unfair.

Nice idea with the casino.

I really like the idea of focusing some mechanics to keep players "busy" instead of "fun"... That sounds much better and a nice objective to focus on.
